What is VIP?

VIP is a naturally occurring neuropeptide with remarkably broad physiological effects — from vasodilation and bronchodilation to immune regulation and neuroprotection. Its anti-inflammatory potency has made it a focus in chronic inflammatory condition research.

Research Applications

CIRS/biotoxin illness, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune modulation, GI motility, neuroprotection, and circadian rhythm regulation.

Dosage Information (Research Use)

Intranasal: 50 mcg per nostril, 1-4 times daily. Subcutaneous and IV protocols also documented. Research use only.

Reconstitution & Handling

Standard BAC water for injection. Nasal spray protocols use preserved saline.

Half-Life & Pharmacokinetics

Approximately 1-2 minutes in plasma. Tissue-level effects persist longer.

Reported Observations in Literature

Vasodilation effects: hypotension, facial flushing, diarrhea. Nasal route reduces systemic effects.

How VIP Works

VIP is a 28-amino acid neuropeptide that acts on VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors. It induces smooth muscle relaxation, vasodilation, and has potent anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting TNF-α, IL-6, and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. Additionally modulates regulatory T-cell function.

Research Findings

Studied for CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome), mold illness protocols, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and autoimmune conditions. Intranasal administration is common in clinical research.

Dosage & Administration

Intranasal: 50 mcg per nostril, 1-4 times daily. Subcutaneous and IV protocols also documented. Research use only.

Safety & Side Effects

Vasodilation effects: hypotension, facial flushing, diarrhea. Nasal route reduces systemic effects.

Important: All safety information is derived from published research, primarily animal studies. No controlled human clinical trial data exists unless explicitly noted. This compound is sold for research purposes only.
