What is PTD-DBM?

PTD-DBM is a cell-penetrating peptide designed to activate the Wnt signaling pathway in hair follicle dermal papilla cells. The Wnt pathway is essential for hair follicle formation and cycling, making it a key target in hair loss research.

Research Applications

Hair follicle regeneration, Wnt pathway activation, alopecia research, and dermal papilla cell biology.

Dosage Information (Research Use)

Primarily topical or intradermal injection in research. Doses vary by model. Research use only.

Reconstitution & Handling

Standard BAC water reconstitution.

Half-Life & Pharmacokinetics

Variable by delivery method.

Reported Observations in Literature

Limited data. Local application reduces systemic concerns.

How PTD-DBM Works

PTD-DBM activates the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by stabilizing β-catenin through inhibition of its phosphorylation and degradation. In hair follicles, Wnt pathway activation promotes dermal papilla cell proliferation and new hair follicle neogenesis. The PTD (protein transduction domain) enables cell membrane penetration.

Research Findings

Published research in mice showed restoration of hair growth in alopecia models. Represents a peptide-based approach to hair regeneration through a well-validated molecular pathway.

Dosage & Administration

Primarily topical or intradermal injection in research. Doses vary by model. Research use only.

Safety & Side Effects

Limited data. Local application reduces systemic concerns.

Important: All safety information is derived from published research, primarily animal studies. No controlled human clinical trial data exists unless explicitly noted. This compound is sold for research purposes only.
